Founded by Experience and Expertise
The person you choose your child to spend the day with matters. We go beyond supervision to foster true flourishing.
Too often, childcare is viewed simply as supervision—someone to watch the children while parents work. But we identified a critical problem: children need more than just a watchful eye; they need active engagement, stimulation, and genuine connection.
Our philosophy is simple yet profound: The person you choose your child to spend the day with matters. They shape your child's worldview, encourage their development, and become a core part of their daily emotional landscape.

Our Founders Story

Before I built the agency, I spent over a decade working hands-on with families internationally — across the UK, Europe, and Australia — as both a nanny and an au pair. I experienced the full spectrum of family life: high-profile VIP households, international placements, and living as part of a family day-to-day.
During that time, I noticed a quiet but growing issue in childcare: many placements focused on supervision, not presence.
Keeping children safe is essential — but safety alone isn’t enough. Children learn by watching, copying, exploring, and connecting. Yet all too often, carers were disengaged, distracted, or just “getting through the day.”
Families felt it too. In playgroups, schools, and parent networks, the same concerns came up again and again:
-
My child is safe… but are they really being engaged?
-
Why does something still feel missing?
After hearing about bad-match stories that could have been avoided, I realised that childcare shouldn’t feel like a gamble. That’s why I deeply question both candidates and clients — to understand personality, values, energy, and goals — and ensure a match built for longevity and success. After all, it matters most for the child.
Maison de Nanny was created to raise the standard.
We match carers who are actively engaged, phone-free, and emotionally invested, creating curiosity, learning, and joy every day.
Because every child deserves more than supervision — they deserve someone who helps them thrive.
